I don’t know why Runaway West closed but I understand the owner moved out of state (California) and chose not to keep the dealership going. That was early 2020. He had an interesting thing going, was an auto transporter by trade, which introduced him to Runaway campers. He would haul customer orders west from Florida and also had units to stock in his showroom. I bought my Rangerunner from him while it was on his trailer enroute to California. He had a few campers in his showroom when I picked mine up from him, seemed to be doing pretty well with his side business but decided to pull out for unknown reasons.

The thing on the roof is a solar panel. I plan to either remove the cargo box and install another solar panel in its place, or install a lower profile cargo basket. I haven’t made up my mind yet.
