Hi.  I saw this forum on ‘Hanging with Herky’ so I wanted to join.  Facebook bleh.  Last November I got the bug to go camping in 2022 — I guess the 2 years of covid basically working and staying home finally broke me.  Lol.  This season I’m planning on sleeping in the Jeep with an ARB awning/screen room.  Perhaps put an order in this Fall for next year.

I’ve been watching many many videos on the Runaway campers, either a RangeRunner or Venturist looks best for me.  I’m not sure I would be off-roading or going on forest roads but I figure with my Jeep Wrangler I *could* do that, so leaning toward the Venturist.  Plus I like that it has brakes.  In NYS a trailer has to have brakes if its over 1000 lbs.  I know the RangeRunner is less than that dry but likely not when its loaded.  Does any one know if you can get brakes with a RangeRunner?  The web page didn’t seem to offer that.

Anyway, take care everyone.

Welcome to the Forum! Thank you for Joining.

On the XYZ camping site (Where you would most likely get your camper based on your location) it mentions it as an option for the RangeRunner and it seems that they come with the Venturist. ”

We look forward to seeing more on your future projects and trips! 🙂

Yes I was thinking XYZ, its about a 4 1/2 hour drive.  But I did not notice that upgrade!  Looks like a heater is also an option.

Thanks for the links.

Whoops don’t see a heater now on that page.  I was pretty sure I saw it there as an option before.  But I could be not recalling properly.  Brakes more important to me at this point.
