Recently took a trip out to Pahrump, NV, picked up my mother and brought her to visit my brother in the Atascadero, CA, area. Stayed in a California State Park, two KOA campgrounds, and  boondocked near Pahrump.

Trying out a new Camp Chef Stryker stove. Easier than busting out the big two burner stove for a quick overnight stop. 

 

Wheeler Pass Rd, overlooking Pahrump, NV. Had some interesting weather for a couple of hours in the late afternoon. 

 

Barstow/Calico KOA. Rented a cabin here for my mother and her dog. 

 

Santa Margarita KOA. Put my brother and mother up in a cabin. We’ve stayed here countless times over the past 30–35 years.
