Let us learn from you!
I would have bought a venturist, instead of the RangeRunner.
I wish I bought the Rangerunner with 15’s instead of 13s.
I would have asked them for longer chains to be installed because I knew I was going to use a hitch extender.
Knowing what I know now, I would have installed the Max Air Fan before the very first trip.
We are still adding. lol. Did add a hitch extender and needed to extend safety chains. Pleased with every improvements made. Queen width bed, sink with hand pump, and shower. Need to add: microwave, more storage hooks for coats and towels, 4 pin to 7 pin adaptor, and rack for bikes .
Before purchasing my Rangerunner, I had talked to Justin Shives about ordering a V‑series but with the modification of having smaller all terrain tires similar to what were on my Subaru Crosstrek, basically a 29″ diameter tire instead of 33″. This would have made the camper similar to the mid-range Hiker camper. I think we also discussed not having any interior wiring installed along with no air conditioner. I’m not a big fan of the setup using inexpensive power strips and generally don’t need AC. I ended up purchasing a standard Rangerunner with no AC from a dealer. My only regret is not getting the upgraded Timbren suspension of the V‑series. The Dexter axle leaf springs used in the standard campers is way too stiff in my opinion.
Thanks for your input, everyone! I love seeing what’s worked for different situations.
