Spent this past week vacationing in Gatlinburg. Spent a small fortune on a large rental cabin. Now I don’t say that to brag but to tell you I should have taken our Runaway and been just as comfy and would have saved that money. Don’t get me wrong, we were ok staying there but I missed the Range Runner. Especially the bed in the RR. Live and learn. Next time we take the Runaway.

It can get pretty pricey there. How was the area though? I went about 20 years ago and remember really enjoying it. I can’t wait to go with the camper.

It was pricey as expected. Crowds weren’t so bad through the week. Weekends were crowded. Mountains are beautiful. We trailered my Goldwing trike down and spent many hours riding in the mountains. Very nice. Cruised Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge on the bike at night. Loved the city’s lights.

We will be setting up the Goldwing to tow our Range Runner over the winter adding electric brakes. We did tow the RR home when we bought it with the bike (about 100 miles) but would feel safer adding brakes.

@bill Do you know the weight? I’m very heavy, with a lot of gear and batteries, I’ve been thinking about power brakes for being Colorado.

It wouldn’t hurt but with a 4 wheel vehicle as small as the Runaways are, I don’t think it’s a necessity. Though it all comes down to what keeps you in that comfort zone of feeling safe.
