New Members: Please help spread the word about the new Runaway Camper forum.
I wish to inform everyone that we picked up our brand new Runaway Rangerunner on Monday of this week. So we are officially Runaway owners. We ordered the Rangerunner in July and we are excited now that we have picked it up. We are in the process of registering it and figuring out what type of bed we want. If any of you have any suggestions on a great queen mattress that will also fold into a sofa I would appreciate some feed back. We are thinking of a bed frame we could fold into a sofa to use when the weather uncooperates. Also we are looking to purchase an awning and a clam quickset room. What awning would you suggest, I am looking at a 4′ ARB because of the price. We are also looking at naming the Runaway and would like suggestions there, a name that goes with the theme of living our Florida dream. Well that’s about it thus far. Hope to see you along the way
I have a V‑model and take it out every other weekend between early November and April, as I do not go on road trips during the summer / warner months. I go out during the cold winter months, not a fan of the bugs, warm or hot weather. My suggestion and most will tell you to take your time. I have remodeled my camper after almost every trip. You’ll find out what you need, want, etc. and what you don’t use, can stay home. I just got back from Yosemite — 16 degrees and snow — and got the carpet wet … smelled after it dried. So, I took out all of the interior when I got home and installed a nice, luxury venial wood looking floor. It’s not as soft on my knees but it serves a better purpose. I am down to only taking what I need and use … my camper has two awnings, one on each side, I have never used them. Again, go out a few times before you start buying / adding stuff to it.
